As stated in the SSC JHT Notification 2023, interested applicants must meet the qualifying requirements listed below for the positions of Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translator, and Senior Hindi Translator.

1) Nationality/Citizenship

Candidates must be Indian citizens

2) SSC JHT Educational Qualifications

A Master’s degree in a related field is the required educational prerequisite for the SSC JHT 2023 Exam. View the table below to see the minimum educational requirements for each post.

Senior Hindi Translator Master’s degree from a recognized University in Hindi with English/ English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level;

OR

Master’s degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English/ with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of an examination at the degree level;

OR

Master’s Degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as the medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at the degree level.

AND

Recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English & vice versa or three years of experience in translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Government Office, including the Government of India Undertaking.

3) SSC JHT Age Limit

The qualified candidates’ age range must be between 18 and 30. The government does, however, allow for certain age relaxation in each test. The age relaxation rules for the SSC JHT 2023 Exam are shown below.
